CoreTableImage 3 Processing Video 12 min
1. The grid points used for the lighting correction are stored in the data browser in WaveX and Wave Y.
2. Run Load_Core_Photo and select the next core table image to process. The grid will automatically be superimposed on the new image.
Registration of the images is not perfect and you may have to use 1 or more of the following to shift grid points:
Run RotateImage if the core sections are not parallel to the cursor crosshairs.
Add or subtract a constant to WaveX or WaveY to shift the entire grid.
To move an individual row run XA2B. Place the A Cursor on any point in the row that you want to move and place the B Cursor at the destination level.
To move an individual column run YA2B. Place the A Cursor on any point in the column that you want to move and place the B Cursor at the destination.
Notes:
Core table images downloaded from JANUS are PDF’s. Unfortunately, Igor only opens PDF’s at a low resolution. To get around this limitation we convert the PDF’s to 300 dpi JPEGS and load the JPEG’s into CODD. Acrobat and other similar apps allow for batch conversions to keep life simple.
